Gorham, New York is a rural community which is over 60% farmland. Many of the farmsteads are owned by Mennonites who have migrated from Pennsylvania in search of fertile land. Drivers should be prepared to share the roadway with a horse and buggy! To get a taste of the land’s bounty, there are plenty of roadside farm stands along the way.

     Every year since 1960, Gorham plays host to the Gorham Pageant of Bands. This well attended annual event attracts middle school and high school bands from across the state. Jazz bands, concert bands, marching bands and more – take center stage for this competition.
